HYBRID CARS
A Hybrid automobile (HEV) has a main combustion engine that is supported by an electric motor powered by a small battery. This combination allows for greater engine efficiency and lower consumption as it takes advantage of braking and deceleration to recharge this battery. There is no electrical plug to charge.
PLUG-IN HYBRID CARS
A Plug-in Hybrid car (PHEV) also has two combustion and electric engines like the Hybrids, but in this case the batteries are charged through electrical outlets which allows a greater autonomy of the electric motor, usually around 50 km. These cars allow you to save essentially in urban areas where you can choose to drive in an all-electric mode. However, if the battery is discharged, you can always use the combustion engine.
ELECTRIC CARS
An electric car (EV) is the most sustainable mobility solution as it has zero pollutant emissions. It has a very silent, exclusively electric motor that is powered by rechargeable batteries via household electrical outlets or electric charging stations and the car's regeneration systems resulting from braking and deceleration. The autonomy of this car depends on the battery capacity.
